Jordan + Maggie's Wedding | Downtown Columbus + The Ivory Room

Jordan + Maggie’s wedding day was definitely a favorite of mine! This fall day was full of fun and sunshine. This couple chose some of my favorite local vendors, so I knew every detail would be so pretty! State and Arrow florals, Cheer Up Letterpress stationary... just to name a few!

Maggie and her girls got ready at the Hilton in Downtown Columbus, which is perfect for photos! Jordan and Maggie’s first look was on the glass skywalk over High Street, and we continued around the lobby and atrium for bright, indoor portraits.  We all jumped on the trolley and ventured around downtown before arriving to St. Francis of Assisi for their beautiful Catholic ceremony.

The Scioto Mile riverfront was great for post-ceremony portraits before heading to The Ivory Room to celebrate! This was my first time at this venue and the view of the city was just beautiful! Jordan + Maggie’s entire day was so much fun! Enjoy a few of my favorites below!

Justin + Chelsea's Engagement Session

Justin + Chelsea's engagement session was a perfect summer evening! Their shoot was rained out twice but thankfully we ended up with a beautiful warm night in Columbus! We started their photos in German Village which is one of my very favorite spots to photograph in Columbus. It was so much fun getting to know these two! As the sun started to set, we drove to the Scioto Mile for those gorgeous shots of the city skyline. Another favorite and popular spot! I loved hearing all about their wedding plans for next year! Justin + Chelsea are one of my 2018 couples and I am so excited for their speical day at Dock580 next March!

The Start of Engagement Season 2017

The first 5 engagement sessions of 2017 were amazing! Darren and I have loved meeting so many sweet new couples!

Jon + Erin's shoot was the perfect start to the year. We explored the Short North alleys, Goodale Park and ended at the Scioto Mile with a stunning view of the city. It was a sunny February evening but it sure was a cold one! Corbin + Jackie are up next and somehow their March engagement session was even colder but that did not stop them from looking amazing! I have known Jackie for years and let me tell you, she always is dressed perfectly! Their classy Ohio Statehouse e-session was a favorite of mine! Next is Ben + Cindy's session at Inniswoods. They drove down from Cleveland for their session and are getting married at the Pinnacle Golf Club this September. I can't wait! Their shoot was finally the first warm spring day in March! Dalay Ket Event's donated a beautiful bouquet to add a pop of color to their photos as well. These two are so down to earth and fun to work with! The fourth engagement shoot was with Kody + Sierra. I have been planning this session with Sierra for quite awhile now! She knew that she wanted a wood area and country fields in their photos. This couple loves all this rustic and I know their barn wedding this August will display that perfectly! Lastly, session number five was with Frank + Lauren! These two were in town earlier in April and booked a quick mini engagement session in German Village. This couple is actually getting married next month in Belize! How awesome is that?! I loved walking around with them and hearing all about their destination wedding plans. It's been a fun fun so far and I cannot wait to meet so many more couples in the upcoming weeks. Below are some of my favorite snapshots from each of the sessions!
