Ben + Kara's Wedding | The Columbus Athenaeum

Ben + Kara's wedding day was part II of my double header weekend earlier this month. I LOVED every little detail from their special day, plus I was able to work with some of my favorite vendors here in Columbus! It was a beautiful sunny Saturday full of so much happiness!

I met these two last summer for their engagement session and immediately found out they were huge Buckeye fans! Ben + Kara chose to have their photos taken on Ohio State's campus and we went back to the same spots on their wedding day! The love they have for their alma mater was evident throughout their wedding. Carmen Ohio was played on the piano at their ceremony, there were delicious buckeye treats on their dessert table, plus Kara's parents pulled off a huge surprise at the reception by having the alumni band come and play! It was seriously a blast and the guests were having so much fun.

Darren and I really enjoyed spending the day with Ben + Kara. They made our job as their photographers an easy one! Enjoy my favorite sneak peeks from their special day! #waiteforus

Love and Light Styled Shoot | Oak Grove at Jorgensen Farms

Two beautiful brides, two handsome grooms and a group of talented local wedding vendors. The Love and Light Styled Shoot was beyond stunning! When I first saw that Ashley and Allison were hosting a guided shoot, I immediately signed up. I adore these two photographers and have looked up to both of them for years. I just knew the evening would be a blast with these two!

There were two different looks throughout the evening. The first couple had a classic elegant style and the second couple had more of a boho natural flair. I loved both equally! The new venue at Jorgensen Farms is beyond beautiful! Oak Grove has an airy greenhouse feel which makes for truly perfect photos. I am excited to photograph a wedding here later this year!

Thank you, Ashley + Allison for this super fun night! I love nothing more than hanging out with local wedding gals and networking with the best in the biz! Be sure to scroll down to view the amazing vendors who made this shoot possible!

Wedding Update! | May 2017

I am so excited about this wedding update! Last week, I finally asked my bridesmaids / flower girls, AND tried on dresses with my mom! This is such a fun time and I am enjoying every moment of being engaged. Having a long engagement has definitely allowed Darren and I to take our time with planning and I cannot believe we are so close to one year away!

Below are the boxes that I created to ask each of my bridesmaids to be in the wedding. I loved making these! The personalized cookies are from Jana Lee's Bake Shop and the knot earrings are from the sweetest small business, Seaside Jems. I made the boxes to match our wedding colors and overall style! Bring on all the light blue details and greenery! (Yes, this also matches my photography brand...and apartment!) All 10 bridesmaids officially said yes- yay!

I also included some photos from my appointment at B.Loved Bridal Boutique. I absolutely adore the owner Lesley. She made my first experience dress shopping the best. I took just my mom this first time and loved sharing this memory with her! The dresses here are stunning. Brides, if you are looking to set up an appointment definitely check out this boutique!

Lastly, I have photos from the flower girl shoot that I did with my two little nieces a few weeks ago! I needed these photos because I made a puzzle with our picture for them to put together. Okay, I guess Sadie was really the one to put it together, but Stella sure enjoyed eating the cookies! I can't wait to have my two little goddaughters walk down the isle right before me!
